What services do we offer

Brede Garage is authorised and regulated by the FCA as a financial broker. We are not a funder, lender or independent financial advisor.

We can offer finance products by proposing your needs to our panel of carefully selected lenders. The lenders may or may not offer a financial agreement to yourself. Each lender will have their own terms, rates, and financial products available which are outside of our control as a Broker.

We will collect personal information including information on your current financial position. We will use this information and our experience to find the appropriate lenders for your circumstances. It is important that any information provided is factual and accurate. It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle selected is fit for your purposes.

You are free to take independent legal advice or seek finance through your own methods. You are not obliged to accept any of the finance proposals from our lenders. Accepting finance is a large commitment and we actively encourage that all options (including your own third-party options) are explored and considered without pressure.

What do we get paid

We will receive commission for the successful completion of a finance product from our lenders. The amount of commission we receive will vary depending on the lender and the product offered. The amount of commission paid does not affect the amount you pay. We may also receive performance related bonuses or additional commission.

What do we charge

We do not charge for making financial proposals to our panel of lenders. We do charge a £200 non-refundable securing deposit to remove the vehicle from sale and reserve it for you. The £200 fee can be paid via debit or credit card, bank transfer or cash. Once the purchase is complete, the £200 is treated as part of the deposit paid. We may refund the £200 if the sale stops due to an error or fault on our behalf.

Confidentiality and data protection (GDPR)

You will be asked for confidential and personal details as part of a finance application. This information is kept secure on our IT system according to our privacy policy. It is only disclosed to our lenders with your authority, each of our lenders have their own strict data privacy policies. We do not disclosure your data outside of these lenders.

How to make a complaint

We always aim to provide and offer a leading, first-class service. In the rare occasion that this falls short we advise that a complaint is made via phone, email, or post in line with our complaints policy. If you are not happy with our final resolution of the complaint this can be escalated to an independent body (ADR), in this case the FCA, details of which can be found at www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk
