The Trafic is the trademark van from Renault and is commonly converted to a wheelchair-accessible van or bus. The Renault Trafic vehicles are supplied with a 90ps or 115ps 2.0 litre Diesel engine and are available in either 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox derivatives. Typically the Renault Trafic has a load out of between 3 and 6 occupants as well as the wheelchair/scooter user.

Renault Trafic WAV Features

The Renault Trafic comes with all the standard features including power windows, parking sensors, privacy glass, etc. The big advantage of a Renault Trafic is the ability to have a much larger rear holding space and greater headroom allowing even the biggest of off-road scooters (tramplers) to fit in the back. A typical rear platform length for a Renault Trafic is 94 inches, a head height of 60  inches, and typical ramp width going up to 34 inches depending on the conversion company. Due to the size of the vehicle a wheelchair or scooter user can access the van from behind and then disembark via the side door of the van.
